Texas training requirements, answered
Which Texas laws do these courses satisfy?
The AI course satisfies the annual AI training requirement in Texas Government Code Section 2054.5193 and is certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), program #26 for FY 2026-2027. The cybersecurity course satisfies the annual cybersecurity training requirement that began with House Bill 3834, now under Texas Government Code Section 2063.102, and is certified by the Texas Cyber Command (TXCC) for FY 2026-2027.
Who has to complete the training?
Texas state agency and local government employees who use a computer for at least 25% of their duties, plus elected and appointed officials. That includes cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and public colleges and universities. Both requirements reset every fiscal year, with completion due by August 31.
How do organizations enroll their staff?
Organizations buy seats online at team or agency rates, or request a quote to pay by purchase order. Each organization gets an enrollment link, an admin portal with live completion tracking, and a one-click compliance report. Evolve AI Institute is registered on the Texas Comptroller's Centralized Master Bidders List (CMBL).
How can an employer verify a certificate?
Every certificate carries a unique number and a QR code that opens a public verification page, so supervisors and auditors can confirm completion in seconds.
