Plan Ahead for Your District
Most districts have 200-2,000 employees who need to complete this training. Waiting until late summer creates a compliance crunch. We recommend enrolling your district now, sending the enrollment link to all applicable staff, and using the compliance dashboard to monitor progress monthly. Setting an internal deadline of July 31 gives you a full month to follow up with employees who have not yet completed the training.

Compliance Reporting for School Districts
Districts need documented proof of completion for board reporting, HR records, and any DIR audit requests. Our compliance dashboard makes that documentation straightforward.
Real-Time Dashboard
Your designated district contact sees every registered employee, their completion status, the date they finished, and their pass score. Filter by campus, department, or completion status. No waiting for reports - the data updates in real time as employees complete training.
CSV Export
Download a CSV file at any time containing employee name, email, department, completion date, certificate ID, and assessment score. Use this file for board presentations, HR file documentation, or DIR audit responses.
Verifiable Certificates
Each employee receives a certificate with a unique TX-AI-YYYY-XXXXXX identifier. Certificates are publicly verifiable at our verification page - anyone with the certificate ID can confirm its authenticity without needing a login. Certificate records are permanent.
Completion Reminders
Administrators can identify employees who have not yet completed training and follow up directly. The compliance dashboard shows both registered employees and can help you identify gaps between your employee roster and enrollments so no one falls through the cracks before the August 31 deadline.
Frequently Asked Questions - School Districts
Yes. Texas Government Code Section 2054.5193 applies to all Texas governmental bodies, and the DIR definition of "governmental body" is broad. It includes independent school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, and Education Service Centers operating under the Texas Education Agency.
Any applicable employee at these entities - meaning anyone who uses a computer for 25% or more of their assigned duties - must complete DIR-certified AI awareness training by August 31 of each fiscal year. This course is certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources for FY 2025-2026 (Certification #26).
The requirement applies to any ISD employee who uses a computer for 25% or more of their assigned duties. For most districts, this covers the vast majority of professional and administrative staff.
Employees who typically meet the threshold include: principals and assistant principals, classroom teachers, school counselors, central office administrators, technology coordinators, finance and payroll staff, HR personnel, communications staff, curriculum directors, library and media specialists, instructional coaches, and special education coordinators.
Employees who typically do not meet the threshold (and are therefore exempt) include: custodial and maintenance workers, food service staff without computer-based duties, bus drivers, and other operations staff whose primary duties do not involve a computer. When in doubt, consult your district's legal counsel.
Bulk enrollment is straightforward. Your district contacts us to purchase a block of seats at the Team ($17.95/person) or Agency ($11.95/person) rate. We set up your district in the system and provide a unique enrollment link or access code.
You distribute that link to your employees via email, your staff portal, or any internal communication channel. When an employee registers using your link, they are automatically assigned to your district in the compliance dashboard - no manual matching required. Seats are consumed as employees enroll, and you can purchase additional seats at any time if you need more.
The district's designated contact can log in to the compliance dashboard at any time to view completion progress, send follow-up reminders, and download the CSV completion report.
Yes. The platform is fully responsive and functions correctly on smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers. It has been tested at 320px (small phone), 768px (tablet), 1024px (laptop), and 1440px (desktop) screen widths.
The platform is built to WCAG 2.2 AAA accessibility standards and has been tested with JAWS and NVDA screen readers on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android. All content pages include a text-to-speech listen feature. The platform works with keyboard navigation only, requires no mouse, and is compatible with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of function. This is important for districts with employees who use assistive technology.
The compliance dashboard provides everything you need for board reporting. You can view aggregate statistics (total enrolled, total completed, completion percentage) as well as individual completion records showing each employee's name, completion date, and certificate ID.
For formal board reporting, download the CSV export and present the aggregate numbers. The CSV can also be retained in HR files as documentation of compliance. Each employee's certificate is independently verifiable online using the certificate ID - your board or HR team can verify any certificate at our verification page without needing an account.
If your district requires a formal compliance summary letter on Evolve AI Institute letterhead, contact us and we will provide one at no charge for Agency and Enterprise plan customers.
