Tim Mousel
Founder and CEO, Evolve AI Institute
Having taught in higher education since 1993, Tim Mousel is a full-time faculty member in the Kinesiology department at one of the nation's largest two-year colleges, where he serves as an AI Faculty Fellow, Chair of the AI Council, and Chair of the System-Wide AI Task Force.
An award-winning educator, Tim has been honored with the 2022 Faculty Excellence Award, the 2023 NISOD Excellence Award, and the 2023 and 2025 Master Presenter - International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence from the University of Texas.
National Recognition
Tim's insights on the impact of generative AI on higher education have been featured three times in Forbes magazine. Harvard University has also recognized his innovative approach, publishing his work in the Harvard AI Pedagogy Project.
In September 2025, Tim was invited to the White House to participate in the White House AI Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education, contributing to national discussions shaping the future of AI policy and education. The following month, he was one of a select group of leading educators and higher education administrators invited by OpenAI to its inaugural Higher Education Forum at the OpenAI headquarters in San Francisco, a global gathering focused on reimagining higher education through AI. His participation and insights were featured in EdTech Innovation Hub (Thompson, 2025).
A highly sought-after keynote speaker and TEDx speaker, he has delivered presentations at prominent conferences and events nationwide. His expertise extends to esteemed government organizations, where he served as an AI educational consultant for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). He has presented to the Department of Defense and Space Force on "Inspiring Innovation: Streamlining Tasks, Boosting Productivity."
Tim's passion for programming led him to develop two commercial, educational AI tools released before the advent of ChatGPT.
