Tim Mousel, M.S., is the founder and CEO of Evolve AI Institute, a Texas company that helps colleges, workforce programs, and government agencies put artificial intelligence to work in teaching, learning, and daily operations. He has taught in higher education since 1993, is a full-time Kinesiology faculty member at Lone Star College, and chairs the Lone Star College System-Wide AI Task Force.
Tim's insights on generative AI in higher education have been featured four times in Forbes, and Harvard University published his work in the AI Pedagogy Project from metaLAB at Harvard. In September 2025 he was invited to the White House to participate in the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education, and the following month OpenAI invited him to its inaugural Higher Education Forum in San Francisco. He serves as an AI educational consultant for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, has presented to the Department of Defense and Space Force, and created the Texas DIR-certified AI Awareness for Texas Government and the Texas Cyber Command-certified Cybersecurity Awareness for Texas Government training programs. He delivered the TEDx talk “AI Will Teach Us All” at TEDxLone Star College and received the 2023 NISOD Excellence Award.
